The second plogging event of KYB’s 12-month environmental cycle took place in Varna

The KYB Corporation continues its environmental initiative “Plums for Trash” — a series of sports and eco events aimed at promoting cleanliness and a culture of environmental responsibility.

On November 1, the KYB team, together with volunteers, members of the “My Razom” community, and with the support of the “Rodni Balkani” tourist association, held the second plogging event dedicated to Black Sea Day. Participants followed a route along the beaches near the “Veteran” and “Chernomorets” tourist shelters, cleaning the coastline from waste left after the summer season.

The results were impressive — 60 bags of litter collected, over 250 kilograms of waste, including plastic bottles, food packaging, textiles, and household debris.

The cleaned areas are now safe and pleasant for visitors again, and all collected materials have been sent for sorting and recycling. In addition to doing good, participants enjoyed a fun and positive atmosphere — outdoor family games and activities were organized for children and adults.

Each volunteer received a symbolic “plum patch”, inspired by the Bulgarian folk tale “Plums for Trash”, as a token of participation and encouragement to join the next events. At the end of the year, the most active participant will receive a special award from KYB.

“With every event, we see more and more people getting involved — and that’s truly inspiring. For us, it’s not only about building modern homes, but also about creating a clean, comfortable, and safe environment where people enjoy living. Thank you to everyone who joined and helps make Varna a better place,” — said Oleg Nevzorov, founder of KYB Corporation.

The “Plums for Trash” initiative is a year-long series of plogging events combining sports and environmental care. Its goal is to promote eco-awareness, waste sorting, and the improvement of public spaces.

After just two events, participants have already collected over one ton of waste along Varna’s popular hiking and recreation routes.

The first event took place in the Golden Sands Natural Park, near the Aladzha Monastery and the Yubileina and Kofshak springs, where volunteers helped restore the cleanliness and beauty of favorite local landmarks.
