Varna hosted the first event of the “Plums for Trash” environmental initiative, organized by the KYB development corporation.
Participants combined jogging and a walk through the forest with cleaning up areas left after the summer holiday season. The atmosphere was truly inspiring: active citizens, families with children, and company employees came together with a common goal — to preserve the cleanliness and beauty of nature by the sea.
As a result, several dozen bags of waste were collected, which will become part of an art installation symbolizing the community’s responsibility for the future of the region. All participants received memorable souvenirs, and most importantly — a boost of energy and joy from doing something meaningful together.
“For KYB, it’s important not only to build modern complexes but also to create an environment where people truly enjoy living. We take responsibility for the places where we work, and that’s why we are launching the ‘Plums for Trash’ initiative. This is more than plogging — it is a symbol of care for nature and the future,” said KYB founder Oleg Nevzorov.
The first plogging event was a vivid example of how sports, ecology, and community can work hand in hand. The initiative will continue: KYB plans to organize similar activities every month to establish new standards of life and culture by the sea.
“We want Varna and Bulgaria as a whole to become examples of attractive and environmentally responsible communities. Clean cities mean not only comfort for residents but also an investment in the region’s future,” Nevzorov added.
