KYB and SkyUp Launch Direct Flight Varna – Chișinău

KYB Corporation and SkyUp Launch the First Direct Flight Between Varna and Chișinău

The international development corporation KYB, in partnership with SkyUp Airlines and other collaborators, is launching a direct, regular air connection between Bulgaria and Moldova on the Varna – Chișinău – Varna route.

KYB is funding the charter and investing in ticket sales risk protection as part of its effort to increase Bulgaria’s tourism appeal and make vacations in Varna — an already well-developed resort city — more accessible to citizens of other countries, particularly Moldova. Currently, there is no direct air route between the two countries, and layovers in EU airports significantly increase ticket prices and reduce passenger flow.

The cost of a one-way ticket on the new SkyUp charter route will start from just €139, and a round-trip ticket will be available from €199.

SkyUp Airlines’ operating partners on this new route are Noy Travel (Bulgaria), Sigo Marine Tour (Ukraine), and Family-tur (Moldova), all of which are already offering ticket booking services. The Ukrainian-Bulgarian NGO "My Razom" has joined the initiative as an informational partner.

“Bulgaria welcomed us warmly and offered great opportunities for growth and experience. With this new flight initiative, we’re finally able to give back — supporting the growth of local tourism, creating new jobs, and enhancing the investment potential not only of Varna but of the entire country,” said Oleg Nevzorov, CEO of KYB Corporation.

The first flight on this new route, for which booking is already open, will depart on June 7, 2025. Flights will operate weekly, every Saturday, through the summer season until September 13.
