Day of Slavic Script and Culture in Bulgaria

Today, all of Bulgaria celebrates one of the most inspiring and uplifting holidays — the Day of Bulgarian Education and Culture and of Slavic Script, dedicated to the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius. They created the first Slavic alphabet, laying the foundation for the culture, education, and spiritual heritage of entire nations. This day is filled with pride in Bulgarian identity, respect for knowledge, and a desire for growth.

Parades, concerts, and events in schools and universities take place across the country. On this day, people express gratitude to teachers, writers, scholars, and everyone who preserves traditions and nurtures culture.
